I’m very proud to unveil our documentary HOME, selected as a semifinalist in the global Focus Forward Films competition.
A former electrician, Simon became homeless after an accident left him unable to work. His life changed when he met Tony and Lisa Clark, co-designers of the Backpack Bed™ – a weather-proof portable sleeping unit created especially for people on the move. The Australian designed Backpack Bed™ has won numerous product design awards, including the prestigious Red Dot ‘Best of the Best’ in Germany 2011. With global foresight for other uses, such as offering relief in disaster zones, the Clarks’ ongoing mission is to work with charities to provide a Backpack Bed™ to every homeless man, woman and child turned away from shelters. The Clarks are currently working tirelessly to make and ship 100 Backpack Beds from Melbourne, Australia to New York to provide shelter relief for victims of Hurricane Sandy.

We hope our little film will raise awareness of this amazing product, and help Tony and Lisa raise deperately needed funds so they can continue their great work.
